Cross Insurance Arena, which is owned by Cumberland County and professionally managed by Oak View Group, is a 6,200 seat arena that opened in 1977 and renovated in 2012.

Cross Insurance Arena is the home to Maine Mariners of the ECHL and has hosted top billing acts and shows every year since opening in 1977. Some of those recent artists include Elton John, Kevin Hart, Death Cab for Cutie & The Postal Service, Jeff Dunham, Bill Burr, MercyMe, Kane Brown, Shinedown, Chicago, Jack White, Trey Anastasio and Goose, Mastodon, Bert Kreischer, The arena also welcomes family-friendly shows like Disney On Ice, the Harlem Globetrotters, Cirque du Soleil, Monster Trucks, and more. In addition to top-tier performances, Cross Insurance Arena celebrates local achievements, hosting graduations, commencements, as well as the Maine Principal's Association state basketball and hockey championships.
