Event Details
Join the Portland Police Department and Cumberland County DA's Office at the 2025 Victims' Rights Community Event where we will come together to raise awareness, offer support, and honor those affected by crime. This year's theme "Kinship, Connection & Healing" emphasizes the importance of support and connection in the healing process after a violent crime. The event will include light bites, music, speakers, trauma-informed yoga classes, and an evening vigil for lives lost to violent crime. Throughout the event from 3-8pm, a diverse group of service providers will be tabling to share resources and information for crime victims and community members to support victims of crime. Join us as we share stories of resilience, provide resources, and foster a sense of unity within our community.
Agenda:
- 3:30-4:15pm Trauma-Informed Yoga
- 4:30-5pm Speakers - Speakers will include Portland PD Chief Mark Dubois, District Attorney Jacqueline Sartoris, Deputy DA Angela Cannon, and crime survivors.
- 5:30-6:15pm Trauma-Informed Yoga
- 7-8pm Evening vigil to conclude the event
