Accessibility
We acknowledge the special needs and challenges of some of our guests. Guests requiring special needs should notify the Hammond Lumber Company Box Office of those needs when purchasing tickets. Please call (207) 775-3458. Our staff will make every effort to provide the best available seat appropriate for any specific need. We have a team dedicated to ensuring our guests with special needs can attend Cross Insurance Arena events without worry and maximize their experience. Our special assistance team is available at all events and can assist guests to their seats upon request. We pride ourselves on making our events available to any guest who wants to attend. Please make requests for special services a minimum of two weeks prior to an event. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests made less than two weeks prior to an event, but accommodation cannot be guaranteed. Parking for patrons with disabilities is available in the Spring Street Parking garage adjacent to the Cross Insurance Arena. All Cross Insurance Arena main entrances are now ADA accessible.
Alcohol
It is a violation of Maine’s liquor laws to bring alcoholic beverages inside the Cross Insurance Arena. Our event staff is committed to enforcing the liquor laws and alcoholic beverages brought inside the building will be confiscated. Alcoholic beverages will be available through Cross Insurance Arena concessions for certain events. All guests, regardless of age, will be asked to show ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages. The Cross Insurance Arena staff reserves the right to deny admission and/or alcohol to anyone that is intoxicated or poses a hazard to public safety.
Providing alcohol to minors, and possession of alcohol by minors is a violation of Maine’s liquor laws. Guests furnishing alcohol to minors and minors in possession of alcohol will be referred to local law enforcement for prosecution.
Cameras & Video Equipment
Single-frame photography is allowed. Cameras with detachable lenses are not allowed. Video cameras and hand-held video equipment are prohibited. Neither lighting nor camera support pods are permitted to be used by guests at the Cross Insurance Arena. Camera equipment may not obstruct the view or path of travel of others. Fans are not allowed to reproduce or re-broadcast any film of events, concerts, or Mariners games for commercial purposes without the expressed written consent of the Cross Insurance Arena, Maine Mariners, and/or the ECHL. No flash. Professional photography is only allowed for those approved with credentials.
All forms of video and motion-picture cameras are strictly prohibited.
Promoters of events at the Cross Insurance Arena may ban the use of all cameras for specific shows. Check event listings for details.
Emergency Evacuation
In the unlikely event of an emergency, the Cross Insurance Arena is equipped with a state of the art emergency evacuation system. Once the system is activated, guests will hear an audible tone and voice prompts to evacuate. Guests should follow the directions of the trained event staff and proceed to the closest exit in calm manor. Guests should check with the nearest event staff on arrival for the closest appropriate emergency exit.
First Aid
The Cross Insurance Arena is staffed with Portland Fire Department Paramedics from EMT for all public events. Our staff is trained to manage medical emergencies, treat minor injuries and make appropriate decisions regarding activation of the 911 system. The Cross Insurance Arena is equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) accessible by our medical staff. Guests should contact the nearest Cross Insurance Arena employee to activate our medical staff.
Food & Beverage Policy
No outside food or beverages (including coffee, bottled water or empty beverage containers) may be brought into the Cross Insurance Arena during events. This policy is strictly enforced.

Lost & Found
The Cross Insurance Arena is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Guests should contact the nearest event staff regarding lost and found items. Submit and inquiry for a lost & found item.
Parking
The Spring Street Parking Garage is adjacent to the Cross Insurance Arena . Parking is available in this garage for patrons with disabilities. The Spring Street Garage is managed by the City of Portland and rates vary depending on events. Please call (207) 874-2842 for rate information.
Additional privately owned lots are open for most Cross Insurance Arena events, but may not be open for all events. Rates vary depending on the event and are controlled by the property owners.

Prohibited Items
ALL ITEMS brought into the arena are subject to inspection. For safety reasons, the following list of items are not permitted in the arena and may be confiscated. Items that are confiscated will not be returned.
- Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to: (guns, knives/pocket knives, multi-tools, chains, spikes, projectiles, tasers, mace/pepper spray)
- Pets (other than service animals)
- Backpacks
- Outside Food and/or beverages. See note about Food & Beverage.
- Waterbottles and other beverage containers
- Projectiles, Frisbees, Beach Balls, Balloons
- Alcoholic beverages, drugs, or other illegal substances
- Laptop computers and/or tablets/iPad
- Professional cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, audio/video equipment of any kind. Selfie sticks, monopods, and/or tripods. See note about Cameras & Video Equipment.
- Skateboards, Heelys, hoverboards, rollerblades, scooters, or bicycles
- Drones
- Sticks or poles of any size
- Umbrellas of any kind
- Laser pointers or similar items
- Artificial noisemakers of any kind, including but not limited to: (drums, air horns, whistles)
- Large banners or any sign attached to a stick or pole
- Inappropriate attire or signage including full facial coverings such as masks
- Any item deemed to be potentially dangerous or distracting by arena management, team, or show production.
*The Cross Insurance Arena reserves the right to prohibit any item including items not listed above, from entering the premises based on any particular show request or requirement.
Re-Entry
The Cross Insuarnce Arena does not allow re-entry at events.
Seating
General Admission Ticketing: A General Admission Floor ticket is required to access the floor area. Wristbands may be issued for floor access tickets and will not be permitted in the elevated seating area. There may be separate entry doors for General Admission Floor tickets. The number of patrons permitted access to the floor for a GA show will be determined by State Fire Code and may vary by event.
General Admission Elevated seats are required for the bowl seating and will not be allowed access to floor areas. There may be separate entry doors for General Admission Elevated tickets. The numbers printed on the ticket do not refer to any specific location but only to the order in which the tickets were printed.
Reserved Seat Ticketing: A reserved seat ticket guarantees a patron a specific seat in a specific seating location. The specific seat location is printed on each ticket. All patrons occupying a seat must have a ticket for that designated seat. For your convenience, we have ushers throughout the seating area that will be happy to seat you.
Security & Walk Through Metal Detectors
Ensuring the safety of our guests is always a top priority. Please be advised that for all ticketed at the Cross Insurance Arena, venue security will utilize Walk-Through Metal Detectors (Magnetometers) to search all patrons entering the facility. Customers should keep the following in mind:
- Minimize the number of personal items you bring to the venue.
- Allow extra time for arriving to and entering the venue.
- Guests will be asked to remove from their clothing and belongings any items that may trigger the alarm, including cell phones and keys, before they pass through the metal detector (Magnetometer) units.
- Bags will be searched. Backpacks are not allowed.
- If the Metal Detector (Magnetometer) alarm sounds, you will be subject to a secondary screening which may slow your entry into the venue.

- It is at the discretion of venue management as to what events these units will be in use for.
Smoking
The Cross Insurance Arena is a smoke free/tobacco free campus. The use of any tobacco products including electronic cigarettes is prohibited inside the Cross Insurance Arena. Our staff is committed to a safe entertainment experience and will enforce Maine's Public Place Smoking Law (22 MRSA § 1541 et seq.).
Smoking means the lighting, inhaling, exhaling, burning or carrying of any cigar, cigarette, pipe or other tobacco product, or carrying or having in one’s possession any lighted object giving off smoke from tobacco or any other substance that emits smoke that is customarily used and intended for inhalation into the lungs.
Tobacco or tobacco product means any form of tobacco, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco or snuff, and any material or device used in the smoking, chewing or other form of tobacco consumption, including but not limited to cigarette papers and pipes.
